Governing Board

The St. Raphael School Board is an advisory board made up of 3 elected parents and 4 parishioners appointed by the Pastor. The Board meets at 6 p.m. the third Thursday of every month, August through May.
Anyone may attend a board meeting. A person wishing to be put on the agenda and address the Board must send a written request stating what his/her complete presentation will be. This request must be given to the principal 14 days prior to the meeting. The principal will respond and inform the person if that item will be placed on the agenda at the next meeting. If the item is on that month's agenda, the person may address the board at the meeting; however no discussion of that issue will take place at that meeting. The response will be given at the next meeting, verbally or in writing.
The Board does not act as a grievance committee and may not be involved in any grievance; nor does it hire, evaluate, terminate faculty, staff or administer the school. It does help develop school policy and set the budget.
